This is Me
​Hi, my name is Joseph. I’m a video producer and graphic designer who likes to express my interests, sense of humor, and aesthetic inspiration through my work. I’m majoring in Applied Computing and Media Communications at the University of Washington Bothell to help me pursue my passion for filmmaking and UI design.

For almost a decade, I’ve loved creating content to show to others. I’m satisfied producing work that I know others will engage with and react to. Through experimenting with different mediums, I have found that I can best express myself through video and graphic design. It makes my day when what I create resonates with people and I hope to one day make something that reaches a widespread audience.
A Vision Worth Sharing
As a filmmaker and designer, my work emphasizes stylistic experimentation and self-expression. My creative journey began in middle school when I first opened GIMP, not with an artistic vision, but with the small goal of making my friends laugh at amusing edits I made. I was drawn to those moments of engagement and bonding, realizing how something I created could capture the attention of others and help them become closer.

I’ve never been the best with conversation, so creating art was often my alternative. It’s how I share my humor, interests, and aesthetic with others. My curiosity has driven me to explore many styles and mediums, always searching for new ways to make my ideas come to life. Through my experimentation, I found my creative home in filmmaking and design. My creativity has allowed me to deeply connect with more people and build relationships, helping me fill a void I otherwise wouldn't know how to.

In film, I’m drawn to the process of scripting, shooting, and editing to bring a vision to life from start to finish. Design feels like solving a puzzle, where instead of putting together pieces, I arrange elements to convey meaning. For both mediums, I aim to create pieces to express, engage, and connect.
